About OBD-DATA

Our purpose

OBD-DATA is an independent reference for generic OBD-II Mode 01 live data, parameter IDs, response decoding and scan-log interpretation. We explain what a measurement represents and what context is needed. We are not affiliated with SAE, vehicle manufacturers or regulators.

Reference library and languages

The technical library covers 16 commonly used generic Mode 01 PIDs and three reading guides in English and Chinese. Navigation, indexes and three browser tools support twelve languages. Manufacturer-enhanced signals, UDS, Mode 06 limits and vehicle-specific normal ranges are outside this initial library.

Code directory

The code directory includes archived definitions. Some identifiers have manufacturer-specific meanings or more than one label. Check the vehicle, model year and service information before using a definition for diagnosis.
